This battle was started and originated by Second Panzer and its unit commander but we are no longer running it.

  Terrain: Very similar to the real Omaha beach. High bluffs overlooking a 200 meter long beach!!! There will be 2 landing reenactments plus demonstrations. The U.S. Navy will be bringing two to three LCM landing craft. Armor, Dukws and vehicles are welcome. Pack up and head home Sunday morning.

Update:   There will be flamethrowers and professional pyrotechnics. The battle area on the beach has been cleared of trees this year.   
 

Information for the Public: This event is free to the public although donations will be greatly appreciated. Event opens at 10 am on Saturday September 18, 2004. There will be two battles with landing craft on Saturday. The battle times are 1 pm and 4 pm. There will be ongoing demonstrations and displays throughout the day.

Schedule

Park opens to the Public 10 am.

First Battle 1 pm

Second Battle 4 pm

Displays will be ongoing throughout the day. Demonstrations will be on the bluff and announced over the PA by the master of ceremonies.


Re-enactors Information: This event is free to re-enactors. Arrive Friday or Saturday and camp on the bluffs or beach. Stay overnight Saturday. 

Vehicles that are going to be used in the battle(s) must have their own insurance.
